good for you guys. I kind of wish our situation was a little more settled, but the good news is we have a lot of great athletes to choose from and the open competition should really help the cream rise to the top.

Same here. Deepest, most (paper) talented group we've ever had.

We saw Bell last year and although I think he was really coached up by the staff I think he has reached his ceiling, Clay Chastain taught us that you get JUCO QBs from California, not from Georgia Military. Ben McClane is ,wow...

So figure with the starter settled the real battleis for #2 between Bell and and incoming freshman Emiere Scaife.

RE: GSU: And Your Starting QB is....
It's a tough call for Georgia Southern.

Going into the spring most everyone thought it was Kevin Ellison's job to lose, but the 3 other QB's all bring something to the table and looked equally as competitive during the spring.

I'm sure the coaches will have a #1-3 during Fall Camp but I wouldn't be surprised to see that shift once or twice before the season starts. I'm going to bet that 1 of the 4 end up with lots of playing time at RB or slot.

EDIT: I would be perfectly comfortable with any of the 4 at QB, so that's a good problem to have.

I hope you guys can have a dominant season, except of course on 10/18. My first memories of Sun Belt football were from you guys. As I recall you guys bumped off many a good team to put yourselves on the map. It's great getting Duke at home and you got that one tough one at Georgia, but a very winnable schedule all in all. We need a few teams to be dominate, especially OOC, to raise the profile.

So, some coaches like to announce to have stability
( and get the most snaps for the number 1 ).

Other's like to say it's an open competition to
hopefully bring out the best in Fall camp.

No right answer, but at NMSU, it's an 'open competition' for the fall with 1 JC and 5 true freshmen.

Hoo-boy.

Fatty Arbuckle was a comedian in the 1920's and 30's. Lost it all with some questionable sexual antics with a starlet. She died.

Thought none of the QB's had really done anything to separate themselves? Or is this just one of those motivation things?

His first act upon arriving on campus in January was to locate and assemble WRs and TEs for film study and to lift. Lets just say there hasnt been a history of voluntary film study. #Leadership.

Fair enough.

Hope your OL can keep him clean this year. Otherwise it's going to be another rough one. Those pro-style guys aren't typically good at getting away from trouble, that was one advantage Bell had last year.

Bell was horrible running and was in fact scared to run. Actually this Arbuckle kid is a former TE who can run.

Still feel like we are still a year away. 2015 is the year.
