RE: Sammis Reyes
I could see how the turnover would be high there. When you are in Hawaii, it's pretty tough to see much of anything else without buying an expensive airline ticket to go visit the states. I was there for 3 weeks when I was 23 and loved it, but not sure I would want to be there year round - even after this past winter. It just depends on what you are used to and where you grew up. Great vacation spot, but not as much as it used to be. One other thing - you feel like a foreigner in Hawaii. It is a favorite destination of several Asian countries and I found those visitors to our country to be extremely rude to visiting Americans. For whatever reason they walk 4 abreast on a sidewalk and expect you to move out of their way. I moved the first couple of days there, then said the hell with that.

RE: Sammis Reyes
FYI reyes has not joined the hawaii team, ncaa clearance issues, a chance he may still go elsewhere but might have to sit a year or part of a year while the ncaa combs through his foreign transcripts (meanwhile, some sec recruit finds a new rolex in his gym bag). in a parallel basketball galaxy twist. hawaii is now considering offering quadree smith to replace reyes (rocket fans in the recruiting know remember our spring flirtation w smith)

wonder if the staff is still in touch with reyes

also, dunk city fgcu center eric mcknight had announced a grad transfer to tennessee but had an sec clearance issue. he is looking for a home and might end up at bg as they were a backup option for him after tennessee (he knows their new coach)
