I agree. It's some schools that I think lucked up to get a P5 invite and some schools that are in and should be kicked out. However, you can not be mad at what UL is getting or about to get. They went out and won in most of their sports, filled stands and etc. Wish them much success...

Louisville will earn 4 times what an average AAC team earns on media just from the new SHOE deal. lol....just consider that for a moment.

I don't think this is lost on our commish... who, as a TV guy, I'm sure is already testing the waters on our next media deal.

That is great for them. Almost double the value of UConn's $46 million 10-year deal with Nike signed in 2008. Hopefully we are in position for a raise in 2018 when it expires.

A potentially frightening proposition after the last negotiations.

We didn't have football and basketball titles to broker a deal with in the last negotiations.
We didn't have a simple record to base anything on, period.

We have shown our relevance.

Hey, I think the league is worth way more than $4mm per based on what the P5's are getting. I also think the bottom of the league will get better and the top isn't going to drop off.

RE: Louisville inks a 40 million dollar apparel deal
Obviously schools with a big athletic brand are going to make out very well, especially power 5 schools.

Even a school like Uconn, which signed their contract 6 years ago, get much more than the other AAC schools. When Uconn's contract is up with Nike in a few years, it will be a big test to see how the companies that invest their own money in these schools perceive the downgrade that a Uconn has endured.

Are Under Armour, Adidas, Nike just going to follow the power 5 tv model and value power 5 teams at a multiple as being 10x or 15x more valuable than the non power teams?

I agree with everyone who said it was well-deserved. Louisville has certainly earned all the good that has come their way.

Had the ACC signed their GoR that put a halt to expansion before or after the AAC Tv deal?
