I don't think this is lost on our commish... who, as a TV guy, I'm sure is already testing the waters on our next media deal.

A potentially frightening proposition after the last negotiations.

We didn't have football and basketball titles to broker a deal with in the last negotiations.
We didn't have a simple record to base anything on, period.

We have shown our relevance.

Had the ACC signed their GoR that put a halt to expansion before or after the AAC Tv deal?

GoRs don't "halt expansion" they dissuade leaving. The ACC ca expand to 50 teams without any consequence resulting from their GoRs.

Well, there is some truth to the argument that recruiting in basketball is easier, b/c so many more kids have ties to Nike than to adidas.

All schools should wear the shoe, whose company will pay them the most money to wear their shoes! 07-coffee3

I bet I could find more than a few head coaches who would disagree with you.

Actually for Louisville with us being the only Adidas school basically in the ACC it could be a help...the kids with ties to Adidas and if they are interested in playing in the ACC it a help.

Plus it not like being an Adidas school hurts recruiting...Louisville, UCLA, Michigan and Kansas are Adidas schools....04-cheers

Memphis signed with Nike in 2009 for 11.3 million...we renegotiate this year.

Thanks for the kind words. Another Adidas benefit could come in Soccer recruiting. On the news tonight it was said that Adidas are the top choice in Soccer Wear Worldwide. That could make great recruiting even better being the only school in that conference wearing Adidas .
