Idaho's defense gets a huge boost
It was announced last week that Idaho's stud DT Quayshawne Buckley was awarded an extra year of eligibility and will return next year, which was completely unexpected. He originally signed with OSU, but enrolled at WSU before coming to Idaho and apparently he was never a full time student so his eligibility clock didn't start. Granted our defense was pretty bad last year, but there were some clear bright spots. Buckley did very well against Ole Miss and Florida State and was constantly pressuring the QB and there was an audible gasp in Doak Campbell Stadium when the pasted Jameis Winston and he was slow to get up.

If JC All american Alfonso Hampton makes it to campus this will likely be the best DT duo in the sun belt, possibly in all of the mid majors. Our DE's should be sharp too, and granted our DB's are terrible but there will be a mystery 5th year grad school transfer from a BCS school that can't hurt. Add in some of the other JC DL who are getting good reviews and our defense is taking serious steps to being respectable.

He could be a late round NFL pick, but he has had some off field issues that might prevent that though. But he's fun to watch, he plays with great energy and enthusiasm, once concussing a teammate who just registered a pick 6 with a celebratory head butt. You have to love a DT who plays like that!
