This is claaassic, a Miss. St. fan questioning the stability of another team...lol. If you would check out the situation before running off at the mouth, you would know that LSU will be fine at the qb position. Randall most likely will not get the job. There is a "little known"(sarcasm) quarterback by the name of Jamarcus Russell and Matt Flynn. Jamarcuss Russell (6'5" 235 lbs.) was the number one prospect (at qb) coming out of high school. This guy is a STUD and is expected to make a splash. His instincts and athleticism should make him a more productive qb than Mauck.

With Russell's big play potential and the (Flordia State like) wide receivers that LSU is recruiting right now, LSU's offense should be twice as good as this years offense(in the near future) You might say its was almost a good thing that Mauck left.

This is a case of the rich getting richer.

What was our final ranking in football this year? I never did hear after the bowl season ended.

SEC won 5 out of their 7 bowl games. How many teams did C-USA have playing in bowl games? Did any other conference win 5 bowl games?

You only WISH Ole Miss was at the level LSU is. The BCS championship IS the tue national championship. The AP is controlled by humans and all of their biases. The BCS is based on stats, facts, and strength of schedule. The owner of the crystal trophy is the NATIONAL CHAMPION. Get used to it because nothing you say or do can change it. Add to this the fact that Las Vegas sport books only paid out to winners who selected LSU to win the NC at the start of the season. Those who picked USC lost their money. If that doesn't tell you who is NC, then you are blind, biased, and/or an Ole Siss fan.

you are aware that the AP is part of the BCS equation, right? As is the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, which is self-explanatory. Not trying to start a pissing match, just wanted to clarify that before folks totally dismiss the AP and think the BCS is all that and does not have it's own weaknesses, it is a computer which in turn is controlled by humans. Someone has to enter the data. LSU is the national champion though, just wanted to clarify that.

Yeah, I know the AP is ONE component of the BCS, but not the whole thing. And I know that humans control the computers. But in the end, when all is said and done, the stats don't lie and computers are free from bias. Fact remains, LSU played a stronger schedule, won one more game than USC, AND beat both of their common opponents (Aub. and AZ) by one more point than USC. Plus, I just like to rub it in Ole Siss's faces because I can't stand their program or their fans and it gives me pleasure.
