Which is why AAC getting the Cure Bowl isn't a bad thing for C-USA. It makes it less likely the American will have extra teams.

You're correct, and I expressed this on the AAC board. The AAC did not really need the Cure bowl, as that will give them 8 primary bowl tie ins most years for 12 teams. 9 if selected for Access. I don't like not having the option of going to a more attractive backup option instead of bowls like the Cure, Bahamas, Boca, etc.
