OT: 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
A thread for all of us to complain about the refs, Crosby diving, Ducks dominating, and our favorite team sucking it up in the playoffs. Enjoy.

RE: OT: 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Chicago @ St Louis, Thursday night. Yesterday was the first, and hopefully last, time I have ever pulled for Detroit.

Chicago has struggled against both St Louis and Colorado this season, but I'd much prefer a slumping, injury-heavy Blues in round 1 instead of Colorado.

Go Blackhawks!

RE: OT: 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Blues are absolutely decimated with injuries right now, although in theory several of those guys should be ready this week. Biggest issue is whether the Ryan Miller trade actually made them worse off in goal.

Goaltending aside, I think Ducks are the best all-around team in the West. That being said, they'll be going with one of either a 24 or 20 year old goaltender.

I honestly think any of six teams could win the West.

I can't wait (and Go Ducks!).

Too depressed to talk about the cup. 5 years in a row with no playoffs in Raleigh.

Let's go Lightning!

First round against the Habs and home-ice advantage?

Will be an awesome series.

Here's to hoping Detroit can take Boston out.

Let's go Stars! The Seguin/Benn duo is the future of the NHL.

No. I want Boston for ourselves. Screw having the easier route, I want to be the ones to ruin their season. Then, I hope the Rays follow suit.

I really don't like Boston.

Amen brother.

Hurricanes have a lot to fix in the off season to make this team back on track for the playoffs.

Isn't King a little inaccurate? I'd label him more as a princess. Or Olympic diver.

He's the best in the business. If LaBron is king of the NBA, Crosby is the undisputed King of the NHL. Just deal with it.

Or you can call him the greatest hockey player since The Great One. Go Pens!

Undisputed king of dives, starting crap and having teammates finish it for him, and just being a whiny princess, sure.

But he's not the greatest goal scorer. He's not the greatest captain. He's one of the best puck handlers, sure.

But the greatest thing since Gretzky? Not a chance. That's NHL hype. Not fact.

I despise Boston, too. There's only one person I hate more than Alexander Ovechkin, and that's Zdeno Chara.

But the Bruins have our number. I think Boston would take us out.

But Detroit? We can take Detroit.

You're right...it's an opinion. Just as your choice of "greatest since Gretzky" would be an opinion. There is no fact on the subject matter. How about we ask The Great One himself whom he thinks is the best hockey player? http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...-the-game/

Don't get caught sleeping on Detroit. I know Yzerman is in Tampa's front office but he's a Red Wing through and through!!! 04-rock
