RE: Marshall Gunning Hard For Mike D'Antoni
Neubauer has told his team he's staying in a team meetin today. Later reports are Ron Everhart or Dan D'Antoni, Mike's brother and current Laker asst. my money is on DD. Either way, Mike Hamrick just said over twitter that an announcement will a very soon.

That's sad for a OVC coach to look at Marshall's basketball program that way.

RE: Marshall Gunning Hard For Mike D'Antoni
Lot's of talk floating around about this hire. Some are claiming that Dan is the head coach, and will be so until Mike comes available, be that later this month, next year, or in a couple of years. Dan isn't exactly a 'placeholder', per se, but he is keeping the seat warm. For the past decade plus Dan has been an assistant where ever Mike was the head coach. All that being said, I think Dan can be a successful head coach in his own right, but I am a little concerned about the fact he's never been 'the man' anywhere other than high school. Exciting times, but a bit scary too. It'll be an interesting experiment to watch, regardless of how it turns out. GO HERD!
