Nothing new. Finch didn't line up an agent for Gray and Alexander, but it still cost the Tigers in both cases. NCAA is a bogus, immoral organization that has no qualms about punishing the innocent.

I used to follow him. The guy is a total idiot if you read enough of his Tweets. Does not like anyone to question anything he Tweets whether you know more about it or not (i.e.-Tiger Basketball)

The NCAA is inconsistent as hell.

Word is that Rose ALSO took the SAT so he would be in the dark about the plan hatched to get him qualified, but it stretches my ability to suspend disbelief that Cal wasn't (at the very least) willfully ignorant if not fully informed on the plan.

Peter Vecsey is one of the most accomplished columnists on the NBA and NE basketball as a whole that has existed. He was on the NBA on NBC studio team the whole time they held the contract.

Cal was probably willfully ignorant of a lot of things, especially the fact that academic hijinks were part of the system in general. But I personally don't think he needed to be any more willfully ignorant about this specific issue than any of the others.

this was a bigger issue than most- Rose was the best recruit since Durant and Cal already has an Elite 8 supporting cast- so it would have required a little more will to remain ignorant on this one IMO.

The allegations have never been proven. The NCAA never said he didn't take the test only that he was ineligible once the clearance center declared that they could not verify his signature on the test. Which is of course bogus.

a handwriting expert analyzed the test and stated with X% of certainty that someone other than Rose signed it. i don't think anyone believed that it was a legitimate test, certainly no one in our school administration at the time believed it.
