It is what head coaches do to get an extra year at their current job.
They can point to a large part of what went wrong with their team was the fired coach's fault.

I don't guess many of you have read Shane Battier's tweets over the years.
He's consistently said that he is not interested in coaching basketball........unless it's one of his girls teams.
He's always said that 'he loves the game, but not the players'......or something like that. And I think he's a man of his word.

That's even weirder.

football coaches do it all the time...firing assistants and offensive and defensive coordinators. The ones who do not do it get the axe.
