With so many key players gone these guys will certainly have the opportunities. With significant PT who knows how their games may evolve. It'll be interesting.

That's not saying much.
Come on, let it go. I've got plenty of gripes about last year but it doesn't matter now, maybe this new guy will be great.

I agree TigerBill. Last year is in the past. It's time to look to the future. Belaboring the bad points of last year only puts a bad taste in a new recruits mouth. Can't get excited about the past.

I am not overly bright but Ill take a shot at this. I think that " if he stays" means if he stays.

I was likening Magee to Kilpatrick at Cincy. Kilpatrick was a 5 year guy. Really made strides in years 4-5. I think Magee's game/body type is very similar to Kilpatrick's...and if he stays in college for 3-4 years I think he can have that kind of impact. No reason to suspect he'd leave early as of now, to clarify.

We do realize that if Joe, Geron, or Mike had played in this game that they would've gotten to the basket just as easily (probably more easily) as Dominic, right?

Yes they would, however Magee has been doing this against tougher competition as well. That's one of his skills- getting to the basket according to the scouting report

What was JJ known for coming out of high school?
Probably the same thing, but JJ had a hard time transitioning to D1 b/c of his size. However, he improved greatly once he learned how to navigate the college game.
We'll see if Dom's decision making is exposed, but I assume he won't get blocked as much given he is 4 inches taller than Joe. We shall see.

Magee has the size and potentially the weight to be effective at getting to the basket. I agree that we shall see
RE: Dominic MaGee :: Jack Jones Shootout, this Thursday night
I think the future bodes well because of the type of player JP is recruiting now vs. his first class. Just look at the size and length. Athletically JJ is as good as it gets but his size and sulking hurt his game. If he were 6'3" he'd have probably been an all-American.
