The Jambulance -- Looking for a New Home
As Chris and I inch closer to retirement we are looking to downsize so that we can devote the majority of our time to travel full-time in a yet to be purchased RV.

I'm looking to see if anyone might be interested in assuming ownership of the Jambulance and carry on that tradition (potentially after this season which will be the 9th one for the Jambulance).

I'm more interested in someone who will continue to maintain the Jambulance in "game-ready" shape so that it properly represents the University and the Rockets than I am about money. I have lots of things/accessories in my garage that would be included.

Unfortunately we can't make it to the Spring game this Saturday. If you are interested in the Jambulance, or know of anyone who might be, please send me a PM.

Huskiemobileman from our board might be interested, but the colors would probably take on a reddish or blackish cast, and the rocket would start to look suspiciously like a Huskie.

Pat have you checked with Mike O'Brien to see if UT might be interested in taking this over and making it a fan attraction of some kind. I would think kids and families would enjoy it a great deal especially at fan appreciation events, special games and events for all of UT sports. I would be willing to donate some funds for UT to take it over.

That is a great idea !! The Jambulance has to stay UT related, in some capacity. I would hate to see some bucknut or wolverine fan assume ownership.

I'll take this under consideration.

I never want to see the Jambulance go. It's been a Toledo Rocket tradition for many, many years and it's one of my favorites. RangerRocket, you've done an excellent job over the years owning that beauty. I would hate to see it go so I really hope someone with the appropriate resources is able to take it over!

I liked TampaBayRocketFan's idea.

RE: The Jambulance -- Looking for a New Home
I could see the jambulance being a really big attraction at all kind of matches. Rocky could drive it onto the field, the cheerleaders could jump out. It could be at football games, baseball games, pep rallies, football recruiting events, fund raisers, alumni events to drum up membership, you name it. Blood drives, cancer awareness events, on and on and on..............the amount of things it could go to is endless.

Cancer awareness events (tie one on)
Events on the mall (art shows)
sporting events
Blood drives
Alumni events
Parades
student recruiting events
Events at UT medical center (very appropriate)
Coaches radio shows
on the football field at halftime for ESPN events
sporting events like soccer, softball, baseball to add another attraction to draw families and kids
What else everyone?

It could go to different parts of the city and even large companies on certain days and sell season tickets for football and basketball.

05-bump

Thought I'd bump this. I'll make someone a nice deal. There is probably $35,000 - $40,000 in it (or more) and lots of Toledo accessories (helmet, gazebo tent, chairs, etc.), and customized, unique items. Lots of pieces and parts to go with it as well.

The tires are all new, or close to new, $2000+ in-motion satellite, $1000 grill, flat screen TV, $4000+ stereo system, etc.

I'm looking to recoup about 25% of what I've into it (so you can do the math). As stated, more interested in someone who wants to carry on the tradition as opposed to making money on the deal.

I think the UT Foundation is the place to go for a buyer. It would be great if the alumni association. Could take this over
