Mendon had a D1 scholy kid about 50 years ago I saw in a story. Things have certainly changed since then.

After getting hammered on the recruiting front, I get the feeling Enos is feeling pressure to keep up with Fleck.

They just took a verbal from Mendon.

Couldn't agree more Dip. There seems to be a bunch of CMU commits/signees that have only 1 D1 offer.....

From the 3rd grade on Mendon kids eat, breath, and sleep football. Some carry a football with them to parties just so they can tell chicks, "Why am I carrying this ball? Because I play football for
Mendon. 03-phew "

When it's over they spend the rest of their life talking about their high school years.

Once had a dad take his kid to mendon to play because he was going to play at Michigan. It is still 1973 there. They a do a great job and get results. I wouldn't want to do things that way but I didn't grow up in that culture. Some great stories out there about things that happened before the big game and some how all record of it gets lost. I personally like the coaches but we did things differently and they won more games. I will take my experience over that anytime and so would most of my players. I blew my one chance to get past them when mcc came to town. I gave them too much credit and they beat us with special teams.

I will add alot of people think I am an azzhole too. Their biggest criticism of me is that I was too nice to my players and I can live with that. That came directly from the mendon staff. But I was never someone I am not.

You could tell Bazuin could play at this level when you watched him play hoops. He was like Haverdink when he played hoops at Hamilton. A man among boys, and quicker to the ball then the small guys.

WMU has had several Mendonstars walk on but none have seen the field.

Wasn't Pepper Powers from Marcellus? Burr Oak had a softball pitcher a few years back that lit it up at MSU. Burr Oak had maybe 125 kids.

The softball pitcher from Burr Oak that went to msu was more than a few years ago, it was about 15 years ago. And now she's the bead coach at Bronson. Time flies. And like most things, the exception proves the rule.

No No No. JJ Watt, Eric Fischer and NIU's Doug Free all have similar profile. The most impressive thing about your recruiting class last year was -5- OL 6'5 or taller. Damn, that was impressive, you do not see that often in the MAC. BTW, at least -2- of those lineman are very athletic.
