Lifelong Cards fan. My Dad is a lifelong fan out of North Carolina. He was stationed at Scott AFB which is ~20 minutes outside STL when I was in 1-3 grades. He was like a kid in the candy store haha. I was going to be a Cards fan regardless, but that assignment certainly cemented it.

We're going up to STL Saturday and Sunday to watch Wainwright and Wacha take on the Cubbies.

As a kid growing up in Tennessee I was supposed to be a Braves fan because of TBS (and they were the closest) or a Reds fan, because they were the next closest and many of their games were broadcast in the Nashville market on UPN.

But I would spend many a night sitting in my parents cars listening to Jack Buck on KMOX. We could pick up the signal on a clear night like it was next door despite being some 350 miles away.

Eventually, when my playing days came to an end working in baseball appeared to be the next best thing. It has been 16 years now, but I almost landed a scouting position in the midwest with the Cardinals organization. I interviewed with the Asst Scouting Director at the time. Some guy by the name of John Mozeliak. I was offered the job and then something fell through at the last minute. That's when I decided to go back to school and get my MBA -- hello Middle Tennessee! It's difficult to even visualize how different my life would be had I landed that position especially given what's happened in St. Louis since then with John climbing the ladder.

Miami Marlins fans since 1993. Before that, and still think fondly of them, the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Blue Jays and A's fan here. I was a Jays and Marlins fan for awhile, but I hate that scumbag owner for the Fish. I can't be a fan until he leaves.

Also lived in Houston so Astros fan through the Biggio and Bagwell years.

Started out here wanting to say "no allegiance because MLB moved my Astros to the American League and we are in a stink MLB hasn't seen in decades". Did your Astros allegiance survive the switch to the AL? The Astros again scored a 0.0 television rating for their game last Sunday with the Los Angeles Angels, and this time the 'Stros could not blame the Texans for NFL football on opposite them. Houston has lost much of its fan base these past three years.

Move to the American League was stupid. Thank Bud Selig for that one. Gets his Brewers in the NL central and then moves the Astros out.

Bud Selig is one of the top commissioners in American sports (including MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA, MLS, and heck even FIFA and the IOC), and it's not because he's been doing a good job. It's because everybody has sucked.

I didn't like the move to the AL at all. Either way, Stros won't win many games. However, I have always liked the Cubs, Cards, and Reds, so the move to the AL allows me to be a fan of these teams now as well. Couldn't root for them when they were in the same division as my Astros. Always a fan, through thick and thin!!!
