you really expect Tulsa & ECU to compete with the top of the AAC right away?

Tulsa much better shape than ECU. ECU is years away from being good. Tulsa however, is competitive right now. Plus recruiting will be easier n the AAC because of UConn, Memphis and Cincy. A three to five bid league has to have some attraction to it as a coach right.

U of L leaves. three bids max. Plus ecu and tulsa have been in the league with Memphis for how long???? If your not doing it year in and year out now your not going to.

It took Eustacy years to build USM up to the point where you all are now. So it is not like USM has been doing this year in and year out. Others schools build over time too, so it can be done.
i never said we have been. But you guys underachieve in your best and are pitiful in other years. Until uconn finds its next home, you in WAYYYY over your heads. Only way that group ever gets more than 3 is if a accident happens in the conf tourney.

and with all those upper AAC schools playing w/ 4 & 5 star athletes, Tulsa will be playing not at that same level right away

Wait a minute. There were people on this board just 3 weeks ago talking about how CUSA schools could beat AAC schools like Memphis, SMU, UConn and Cincinnati. Now your statement is that Tulsa could not compete against those schools, because those schools will be playing with 4 and 5 star athletes. That is inconsistent reasoning, especially considering that Tulsa is CUSA's best team.

show me this evidence that anyone made those comments, it sure as hell wasn't from me and why would White take his chances at Tulsa when he could stay at Tech one more year and possibly get his "dream" job at Ole Miss

I think UConns win tonight has given the AAC some very important basketball credibility. This has to help the other teams in the league. I think 3 n reasonable to expect, and in good years 5.
The only ones who got any cred from that win was uconn themself, and they are taking the first train out of town.

Like I told you guys weeks back; UConn is a really good team. I am telling you now the team to beat in the AAC next year is not UConn. SMU is the team to beat. Another thing to remember about ECU roster was short last season. ECU will not win the AAC next season, but they should be really competitive. And the AAC will probably have 5 bids next year at minimum.

UConn not going anywhere soon, plus the AAC received great publicity tonight. Again, I will be the first to admit that ECU adds nothing to the league for basketball.

If the money is right they will move.

Look at how much we were willing to shell out for Manning and he was a 2 year coach.

Im just passing what I hear on the internet. Ive never claimed any real sources.

Someone pointed out on the tulsa board that Tyndall wins with Jucos. Thats not going to fly @ Tulsa with our admissions requirements.

That group has about the same chance of 5 bids as they had of that magical 20 million dollar a year tv contract we heard so much about.

For the record this is DT's list. Lsu, Louisville, Kentucky, michigan, mich st. He is in hattiesburg until one of those gives him a shot.

Manninggate also opened up a lot of eyes about how much Tulsa was willing to pay for the right coach.

I disagree with your assessment. IMO ECU would have been really good this year if they did not have so much attrition and even then ECU still finished with an overall winning record. It is all about ECU keeping kids.

more blah blah blah.....nothing on the floor to back it up....oops, forgot about that 3pt sharp shooter in richmond that did wonders.....
