RE: Spring games thread
Good news out of FIU's spring game.

FIU won and it may be the only win they have all season. 04-cheers

Just kidding Panthers, gonna be a long off season and this is probably the last shot I can get in since ya'll are killing it in Baseball this year and will probably smoke my owls.

ODU Spring Game Bigger Than Ever
by Andy Hilton, recruit757 Great read ......

The additional crowd and the growing spirit in the stands gave Wilder a lot to be excited about as well. Perhaps over three dozen recruits were in attendance, ....... Bayside cornerback Jamez Brickhouse verbally committed to the Monarchs after the game, eschewing offers from schools such as UVA, Duke and Wisconsin.....

NC State and UVA had their Spring Games on Saturday. Maryland had theirs on Friday night. Many recruits could have been somewhere else instead of in Norfolk on Saturday afternoon. That’s the kind of draw that the ODU Spring Game and a recruiting visit to the campus now has.

ODU sells out all their games. I've never personally seen them inflate numbers like I have with UNT therefore I have no reason to question their Spring Game attendance.

Very poor joke indeed.

RE: Spring games thread
There was no charge for attending the Monarchs' spring game, so there is no official ticket count. The East side stands were about 3/4 full. My personal estimate was 5,000. I saw another estimate of 6,000 to 6,500. Harry Minium who covers the Monarchs for the Virginian-Pilot (our local Norfolk/VB rag) estimated the crowd at 3,000. Take your pick, but one thing for sure, there was a pretty good crowd there, and it was a much larger crowd than any of the previous spring games.

The White team outscored the Blue team 21-14. Heincke started slow but had a good day throwing for three TDs. All in all, I think everyone went home happy.
