I prefer someone who can produce and not simply take up space. Hamga (bless his heart) couldn't walk straight in a sober state. If you can teach a big man how to play apparently Hamga didn't get the memo.

who do you have in mind?

If we can get a big I just hope he can be productive and not necessarily a project.

Dmitri Batten of ODU should be added to the list. He's leaving as a graduate transfer.

This ought to be considered a little separately, since he will have graduated. Congrats to Dmitri for getting his degree!

Batten was our 2nd leading scorer this pass year and is leaving becuse of expected lack of playing time.

Sean Obi headed off to Duke according to ESPN. Color me surprised. He was a very nice offensive player for Rice, but I don't think he has the size and athleticism (especially on defense) to play at Duke. But if he works hard on getting stronger, maybe he proves me wrong. At least Duke is getting someone who won't be one and done.

RE: CUSA Basketball Transfers
I wonder how much "recruiting" the money conferences do, with some of the young stars of so-called mid-majors ?

Sun Belt lost quite a few rising players to power conferences. Patrick Sparks from Western was one. That dude could play.

I guess it goes both ways.

Patrick Sparks left because of a coaching change. Had Felton stayed I would say he might have too. We will never know. I do know that once Felton announced he was leaving WKU, UK put the fullcourt press on Sparks through back channels to try and get him to transfer and it worked.

2 disappointing players and also Summarro who transferred to U of Mobile....

WKU is making a play for Anthony Hickey out of LSU...We recruited him hard out of high school, so we shall see where this goes on him...

I would not call Hulsey disappointing as a true freshman. I though he had the makings of a very good all-around player down the road.

Interested to hear the reasoning behind this one. The kid was getting solid minutes for a Freshman.
