I don't think the fans are restless but certainly looking forward to getting it wrapped up.

I think you have to look at the fact that Massiello was pretty much signed until his diploma issues came to light. So you could say we had our coach then.

Now I think we are on standby, Rice from UNLV has an offer but not officially from the school. He is meeting with the UNLV AD today and we will know more. I'm also hearing that USF has a couple of other names on standby depending on what happens with Rice.

I'm happy with the names and the search. We are offering 1.4 million so that will attract good candidates and shows we are committed to get better in basketball

If you have to ask the question... you obviously don't know USF very well. LOL

SMU search lasted a lot longer and we ended up with LB

From a recruiting stad point, finding a replacement emedietly is important... Avoiding old disappointing results is far more important for USF now and perhaps explains the approach in their search.

Recruiting is not an issue we only had two scholarships available. Only had two seniors and the main signee is already in the fold, the second offer was a kid that many thought Heath had gone crazy offering and that whoever we sign I doubt will keep.

I have to agree with you. If he was on the "hot seat" UNLV would have pushed him toward the USF job.

I have to agree with you. If he was on the "hot seat" UNLV would have pushed him toward the USF job.

To be honest I was really torn on him. I went to the UNLV sites and it seem 50-50 between those that wanted him to stay and those that wanted him gone. He has won 20 games in each of his three seasons but each time has gotten worse results. Now he has another good recruiting class coming in so maybe he will turn it around.

We need a unanimous opinion, no-doubt at all, hot up and comer... There has to be a guy like that who will grab our big $$ offer. I'd rather wait a bit and get the RIGHT guy.

God I hope that's what happens...

I think USF should go after a coach that built up a smaller program over someone that took over a program that was already in good shape.

Bobby Lutz is available. He is an assistant coach at N.C. State right now, but he did a very good job at Charlotte; before the Charlotte fans got mad at him for not winning enough for their liking.
