Free throws did you in, that's for sure. Happens to a lot of teams.

Was hoping that the Cardinals could have pulled that game out. That was one of the best college basketball games I have seen.
Based on how the ACC has performed this year Louisville will be a conference title contender in both $ sports very quickly.

All in all a National Championship and a Sweet 16 over the last two is not to shabby!

2015....we will struggle somewhat next year in Basketball...and if we was in the AAC I would say the same...losing a Russ Smith, Luke Hancock and Momtrezl Harrell is huge...
The AAC is going to be rugged in Basketball with SMU, Cincinnati, Memphis and UConn...

RE: Kentucky beats Louisville: Good luck in the ACC ...
It has been a heck of a ride. We left CUSA on a big note with a conference tourney champ, left the BE with one and now the AAC with one. The sports have improved across the board over the last 10 years with our major sports getting to championship levels which helps recruiting the future. Our AD is top notch and we wouldn't be anywhere close to what we have become without him.
Hopefully other smaller and/or private schools can make the same step in the future. It hasn't been that long ago that UL was a private school and not very large -- mostly commuter with only about 1000 students living on campus. An AD with vision and a totally dedicated support group in our city (little to no help from the state) moved us to a state school, increased our enrollments, improved our resident ratios and our sports grew. New facilities are all over our campus, so it's also a great president with similar visions for the entire school compared to our AD's visions for our sports.
Still tremendous potential for more growth. I know a lot of people like to complain about our academics but they are actually misleading. We do have a lot of commuters -- people who work all day and attend school at night. We have major companies here that sponsor what's a metro university for their employees to attend UL and that is huge. But we have had more Fulbright scholars the last few years than practically any other school, including ivy league ones. We have had Rhodes scholars. We have a good engineering school, business, dental, law and medical.
With the coaches TJ has assembled here, ones who come and stay for years, hopefully we continue what we started in the BE by winning championships in lots of sports every year -- not just the major ones but the others as well. We just won another swimming title -- hopefully our baseball team does well again and we are all looking forward to the return of Petrino ball in the fall.
Good luck to the rest of you. Support your schools in every way - with your fandom, your time, energy and money. They can grow and make you happy and proud. Community and alumni make the difference.

Why are you such an ass on this board? Do you go around and insult people the way you do in real life?

Trying to offer a little encouragement to others is all about self -- no, that would be you. You are the most obnoxious poster on the board that constantly tries to belittle everyone else. Did you never learn that all that does is make you the small one. Grow up.
