Woodson is not that and I don't think we have one coming in.

He can eat up a lot of space though and he will block a few shots. I still think a maturing Dom being about to give real minutes would change us into a much more physical team. We actually can be a physical team next year with Dom, Shaq, Nichols and Hawkins all in the rotation.

That front line should be a very powerful rebounding unit on both ends of the floor.

Almost no one would ever push that group around.

No one's gonna push Nichols around? You must put a lot of faith in our S&C coach. Oh yeah, we don't have one!

I just want a big man coach. We have 3 big men on our team that can play at the next level. A scorer, an effort guy, and a bruiser. I think even Coach K would trade our returning front line with his.

No.

Woodson mostly came here because people around him trusted Pastner to take good care of him.

Woodson had a very difficult life. His parents were both drug addicts and he lived with an aunt who wanted the best for him.
I'll give it to Josh for what he has done for Geron Johnson. Pastner treated Johnson like a son and gave him the keys to a quality life. Sometimes tough love, but extreme loyalty and Johnson is the better person for it.
Woodson is going to be the same way, only he's younger than Geron and much less mature.
That's part of the reason I think Woodson is going to be a dominant force here. Once the switch flips with him, he's going to be a key player on this team and in this league.

If Geron and Dixon are unable to convince him that Josh is good for him, there may be no hope.

We really need Big Dom, but we need all 3 of them to be stronger and better. We can't stop anyone with halfway decent bigs. None of them have an ounce of post defense, and they all need to improve their scoring skills in the post. But if Big Dom and be a tough guy and enforcer, it will help our defense. We need some guys to give us what DJ and Dorsey used to give us.

That would be nice but those kind of guys don't grow on trees.

Why would he transfer? Why did he come to Memphis?

I have no idea what he's going to do ... just a educated guess based on his drama this past season. He may get things straight and work out fine. I hope so. I thought he had a nice little post game from time to time.

Alright Negative Nellie. A lot of kids have been in the doghouse, but Pastner is pretty good at getting those kids going. You sound like the guy that posts the transfer crap, and hopes it comes true so you can tell us all later on here.

I prefer 'Reasonable Ralph'. And I'm crushed you feel this way about me. And your insights are so revealing. You got me. Seriously though, I don't understand why this is 'crap'. How can you be honest with yourself and say that if any/all of these 3 guys decided to transfer, you wouldn't be entirely surprised (Dom, KI, DW). There have been behavior and playing-time issues. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying, nor have I every implied, I'd like 'to see them gone'. That's it.

Not being a jerk, just being right. I am 2-for-3 so far. And I'm not happy about it, but I was making a reasonable point and others were roundly jerks to me about it. I've got to give it to this guy who preemptively set me up for liking to point out I'm right though. Nicely done.

Please

If you weren't happy about it, you wouldn't be bumping old threads to rub it in peoples faces and bragging about being 2 for 3 or whatever.

This is no isolated incident, you are well known for this type of stuff.

Being right about bad **** is nothing anyone but you and a few others care about. It kind of negates the joy of being right.

I predict that Dom comes back next year trim, in shape and ready to play some D1 Basketball. The joy of being right will not begin to come close to the joy of seeing that happen.
