Hard to believe it's been that long. Drafted or not, I hope he gets a shot. I think he can be a quality NFL running back in the right situation.

Kerin also has a chance. Flu being hurt really hurt his opportunity...no doubt he will get a shots as an UDFA, but being injured and having a semi weak pro day doesn't set him apart from the field.

A lot of great college players get left out of the draft, but make their way onto an NFL 53-man roster. I really hope some of our guys get drafted because I'm sure that is a very special moment in their lives. Fluellen is a great football player, injury or not, he deserves to get drafted.

Church wasn't drafted. JOHN Greco was the OL who was drafted in 2008.

Who was the other guy? Says there were 2 players drafted in 2008 from Toledo. Actually - after checking it does not say 2 players were drafted - only that 2 players went to professional teams. I didn't think Church was drafted but I knew Greco was. Just couldn't remember his name.

flu could be a very good pro. i think someone will invest in him. he gets hurt too much and doesn't clock well in the 40, but he's got everything else - size, moves, quickness, professionalism, hands, blocks, production.
then again, church was the same way except always healthy and he didn't drafted and now he starts for the cowboys. at one point toledo had 11 players in the nfl and 8 or 9 of em were undrafted.

Tough for running backs now. Many teams using multiple backs. They just aren't valued the way they once were. Everything is about passing. Even their average pay has really dropped.
