Nice try, comparing a game played in New Orleans to a game played on campus. But as I said, I was just tying to fire you guys up.

You are right. The last three years have proven there is no interest in the Cajuns in New Orleans and the fan base has no interest in driving to New Olreans. I live in Little Rock and I've never watched AState play UALR in baseball at UALR. I've been to the newish (opened in 2007) double A baseball park one time and I was given tickets then.

Baseball doesn't do it for me.

You should try taking in a few games. While I'm a diehard football fan, baseball is the greatest game ever invented....well, next to that Mayan game where you had throw your opponents head through a loop on the wall. That one was pretty cool too.

I've been to AState games, Travs games, Cardinals, Rockies, Cubs, Rangers, just not a fan. I used to go to the Travelers games quite a bit when it was a longer drive but the only part of it I liked I can replicate by drinking beer on my deck.

12,000 season tickets holders in comparison to 1,800 plus in MBB is your answer. I'd say those that expected Cajun fans to show up in NO by the thousands for MBB haven't been paying close attention to our attendance in the Cajun Dome. This was Marlin's first winning season in year four of his leadership, there was very little to celebrate until this season. I expect more excitement for MBB next season.

Those are pretty much our season ticket numbers. I think a few less in football...but we're pretty much one in the same.

Maybe, but I would say ASU has had more success on the BB court than UL over the past four years.

So what is the Sun Belt record for most wins in a season? I'd assume the Cajuns would be on pace to beat that.

the truth is, the only real difference is that we've produced a more higher consistent league finish, but never made the NCAA, while you guys have been more inconsistent in terms of finish, but have an NCAA appearance.

Bigger and bigger things for the Cajuns.

The whole school is on the move.

That's right...the entire campus is being relocated to New Orleans. They are just picking up and moving the entire thing. They're going to be Tulane's new neighbors.

Well there is a lot of of new construction on campus and athletic facility. Building a new 178,000 sq ft. student union http://studentunion.louisiana.edu/. Building new high rise parking lots, refurbishing buildings, building bike paths and additional covered walks, building a fountain in the middle of the quadrangle for student gatherings. All part of a comprehensive campus master plan funded by student fees over the past 10 years. http://www.louisiana.edu/masterplan

Then there is the master plan for athletics that just got started a couple of weeks ago. The total estimate for this project is $116M, funded thru private donations. http://www.ragincajuns.com/sports/2013/3...spx?id=570

So, you can say the school is "on the move" or you could say, they are building a lot of stuff on campus and at the athletic complex, whatever blows up your skirt.

I just hope our players are not too focused on this. We have to beat NW state tonight.

Best way to stay in the top 10, ignore the ratings.

It is a long season remaining. One bad weekend and we could drop like a rock. This is a good team though and barring injuries has a lot of potential.

True, Fish. Now the mind is more important than God given physical talent.

Cajuns are also # 1 in Warren Nolan's Nolan Power Index, another respected rating system.

Rack 'em stack 'em.

As I said on our board, the gauntlet is thrown. Now everyone has to make a decision. Do you sit around and wait for the Cajuns to fall off that pace and regress to the mean or do you chase and improve the league even more.

Warren Nolan is probably more important than Collegiate baseball, which is a very reactionary poll and won't hesitate to drop the Cajuns the minute they take that first loss.

I think he means put more emphasis/dollars into improving baseball. I dunno.
