BJ is now 1 for his last 46 with with 26 K's and 5 BB. So he's struck out in over 50% of his last 50 PA. yeah it's probably a good idea to bat him 2nd

I do not understand why we ever picked him up.

Braves fans thought it was a home run signing at the time.

you know that old saw. if he hits in front of freeman, he should see more fastballs. blah, blah.
BJ played his single A ball here when the devil rays had their low-A franchise in my hometown. he was an exciting player. I also watched carl crawford learn how to hit. I watched josh hamilton learn how to snort cocaine. tampa had the first pick in the draft for years; I saw a LOT of talent come through town.

while we might no longer be a good pitching team, this year's giants can hit the hell out of the ball. When scutaro gets back the lineup will be even better. We desperately need Cain to straighten out his command. His stuff is fine, but he seems to have lost his command from a couple years ago.
I'm a 4th generation Giants fan. My great grandpa, grandpa and dad all lived in NY and were hardcore Giants fans. They moved to SF when my dad was young.
Tomorrow doesn't mean much for us, now that we have a series win, but beating greinke and getting the sweep would sure be nice. And with a day off on Monday posey and pagan should remain in the lineup. Be curious to see Morse plays again, or if Blanco gets the start against the righty.

Besides, the Braves have two black holes in their lineup (Uggla)

kemp went yard twice last night, which is good news. his should was never right last year, and he was never able to drive the ball -- even in the 70 or so games that he played in.
if he's back to anything even resembling his mvp-level self, it changes the dynamic in the nl west.

Utterly shattered that I will not be attending the Home Opener for the Braves this year. First time in 4 years I haven't made it. I'm tempted to camp outside the stadium and just listen.

hopefully nothing's changed. Let's see what happens against pitchers who aren't the formerly good pitcher known as matt cain

lol the Home Opener usually sells out. I just can't afford to go for financial reasons. I even tried to bribe the company tickets away from my boss but no-go :(

Talk to the guy sitting in the lawn chair in the parking lot of The Bullpen (the restaraunt/bar across the street). He can always come up with tickets. Usually at a fairly reasonable price - usually wherever in the ballpark you want.
