USA led Michigan with a couple of minutes to go in 1989 but Michigan pulled it out late.
USA almost beat Arizona in 1997 but Arizona got the lead late to beat USA (they had 24 FT attempts to USA's 7)

Even our First Four win in Dayton 2 years ago is worth $1.5M to the conference.

Everyone talks about football, but WKU has brought more $$ to the conference than any others school. Bowls don't really make $$.

I have been arguing this for months and one one cares on here besides WKU fans....Other posters contend the SBC is now a football/ baseball./softball conference...Posters mocked me when I said WKU has brought more money to this conf. than any team combined in any sport including FOOTBALL...Some just will never get it, hope the Sun Belt enjoys baseball!

I think everyone gets it by now fellas. We like basketball. Most other Sun Belt programs would not call it their primary sport. The Sun Belt will still put a team in the NCAA each year and I am sure they will win a game every now and then. Life will continue without us. Let's leave with a little more class than some of the others have.

The reality is though that unless WKU goes on another major run, we're going to pocket the same amount of NCAA cash with or without you. 1.5 million for our 1 NCAA unit, with the league occasionally getting an extra 1.5 for either a 2nd team, or our 1 team winning a game.
