Very undisciplined play by UC. Play like that next year and I love ECU's chances!

I picked UC to win before losing to MSU, but this is why horribly imbalanced teams don't normally advance far and never win championships. A team that can't guard or can't score consistently (UC) will slip up somewhere over 6 games. Unfortunately the no offense kicked in during game 1 this year.

Let me guess, SMU should have been in instead of Cinncinatti 03-razz

Ugh...tough break. Everyone knew Harvard was good. Everyone who dogged the AAC is about to pile it on.

You want the truth I've been more impressed with SMU than Cincy most of the year. I know Cincy won more games and had a better resume, but you can't be this bad offensively and win tournament games.

Geez some of you guys are ridiculous. Cinci was a legit Top 25 team all year long and just had a less than stellar game on a neutral court in a do/die situation. Nature of the beast, but that's why we watch.

Could Harvard not just be satisfied with being millions of peoples dream school? They have to take basketball away from us too??

This wasn't a first time occurrence though, they displayed these warning signs in both of the games against Temple as well as against several other teams. Cincy was one of those unpretty teams who just found ways to win at the end a lot of times, I knew they had the chance to slip early because they never really showed pure dominance that you would expect with a resume like Cincy had.

This was every game Cincy plays in a nutshell. Horrific on offense to the point of making me sick, but normally their defense is good enough to allow them to win ugly. This time it wasn't.

IDK. I think they play great defense, but this is pretty consistent for UC. They can't score and that has been what has kept them from being a very good team (as opposed to good). Want to see what would happen if they could consistently score? Just look at UVa -- a/k/a Cincy with scoring.

I picked Harvard to win but after watching their free throwing shooting today, I doubt they will advance to the Sweet 16.

ECU fans should never talk basketball smack, whether Cincy, Louisville, UConn or Memphis win or lose.

Sorta like a Memphis fan telling ECU not to lose a playoff game in football, while we missed the bowl games.

It is not smack. Pastner has not coached well in the tournaments so far. That is the book on him and that will let us know if they're right about the AAC.

RE: NCAA Tourney General Thread
We had a good team, but the truth is we just weren't playing well at all down the stretch. We were going in the wrong direction. By the end of our 15-game winning streak, we were playing like a Top 10 team. But that was our peak.

It's a bad loss, but they weren't playing well enough to beat Michigan St. I'm mainly devastated because of how much fun it is to watch games when you have one of your own to look forward to again in a couple days.
