The Rice-TXST game is on ESPN3 if anyone would like to watch.

Should get a good look at our ballpark.

Baseball is such a funny game. One game you can be losing a series to Elon, the next you can be destroying one of the better baseball programs in the country.

Touche. Elon used to have tough teams a few years back, but we should have put them away several times over. Guess that's why baseball seasons have so many games. The best teams will eventually win most of the ones they should.

Texas State and Rice appear to be battling for ugliest uniform combination of the week today. Between Texas State's multi color concept, and Rice attempting to rip off the Cardinals logo, It's very strange looking.

Elon has been to the NCAA tourney 6 times since moving D1 in 2002. That is 6 times more than Ark St during the same period. Just sayin' :)

Yeah...well I just don't like the name Elon. Who names their school Elon anyway?

I have, on many occasions, also pondered the ridiculousness of that name. SoCon has been good to us in our 20+ year stay, but I'm thankful to be playing teams a lot more people have heard of.

Georgia Southern now up 12-2 over Clemson in the 7th. Eagles' offense is tearing it up this year. #1 in the country with 29 home runs through 20 games is impressive. Georgia State is not far behind at #3 with 23 round trips and UL is at #8 with 18.

29?

We have 4 homeruns all season...and three of them came this week, in the same game, by the same player.

I can't wait to get you guys in Tomlinson and let you experience the Spring Winds. Try hitting one out then.

Elon is Hebrew for Oak and they give Acorns at enrollment and saplings at graduation to reflect student growth. I guess there are hokier traditions. It's a weird school where @ 20% of students are from North Carolina and the rest are Yankees. They're always good in baseball and had a decent football team when Pete Lembo was the coach.

I'm with you and glad we won't be in the same conference as Elon, Wofford, Samford, and Furman anymore...2 1/2 months

That's Charles Barkley turrible right there.

Please elaborate on this Spring Wind phenomenon.

Haha...That's what we had until we played Murray State in their tiny park with the wind blowing out.

You guys are playing at UALR this weekend. Total is almost guaranteed to go up.
