If your as good as you say , you should have no issue beating Clemson. I think you will but It won't be easy

I was speaking more of how the GSU fanbase has been talking over the past two months

Clemson is very beatable. That's not a terrible draw for Georgia State at all.

I do understand somewhat how the Ga. State fans feel tonight. I mean they finished 17-1 in conference play and were over the regular season clearly the #1 team. Then they lose in heartbreaking fashion in the championship game.

I am glad that they get another chance to play and I believe a very good chance of beating Clemson.

RE: GSU playing Clemson in NIT
Honest question: Can anyone tell me (without looking it up) who won the NIT last year?

I usually never hear about the NIT after the teams are added in.

Note: I'm NOT knocking GSU at all. I'm just wondering if that is a local thing (or by proxy a thing about how crappy Texas State's teams have historically been) or if it's kinda that way all over.

Its a much bigger deal at the mid major level. Most of us remember Robert Morris hosting and beating Kentucky last year. Problem is that few mid major teams win the tourney, or even make the finals.

It is a good foreshadowing to success though. Wichita State is among the list of teams that made the Final Four of the tourney in recent years. Baylor won it last year, and is a 6 seed in the NCAA's this year. Dayton won two years ago, and got an at large this year.

RE: GSU playing Clemson in NIT
you would have faced a much better team than clemson in creighton.

no reason at all you can't do serious damage if you can get past today's tough loss.

i'll be pulling for the panthers.

I think it was witcha state in 2011, Stanford in 12, and Baylor in 13. Kinda a blur after that.

Only Ga. St.'s fault, they laid an egg in the non conf. part of the schedule.... as we saw today, tournament pressure is a little different than regular season pressure....Clemson will have no problem at home...
