Usually you compensate speed and agility for strength, or vice versa. There were really only 1 or 2 other RB's that produced consistently high #'s in all areas.

I hope he's more Javon Kearse and less Mike Mamula.

Andrews is not designed for the combine, he may have been better off skipping it...His 40 time may really hurt him and now he may go undrafted because of his poor showing...He looked good in the pass catching drill so hopefully he will get drafted....Some guys are not good in testing but in a game, Andrews can get it done and should get a chance in the NFL i would hope due to his vision...But before combine he was a projected 5th rd pick now scouts are saying he may not even get drafted...Dowling will be a stud in this combine, that is his game...

There are plenty of GM's out there who put a lot more weight on game film than the combine.

Brandon Spikes took a dump on the field at his combine and still went early to the Patriots.

I would wager Andrews gets drafted and some team ends up very happy with him.

To put in perspective on Antonio Andrews though. As bad as his 40 time was, he still had about the same 40 time as Alfred Morris had at the combine. The knock on Andrews is his trouble fumbling the ball on occasion. Mix that with his combine numbers and that is what will affect his draft stock. I still think he gets drafted though. Jackson and Dowling will both be drafted as well. I honestly think Dowling may end up going the highest out of the 3. His size and speed combo is crazy. NFL teams are looking at him to play CB instead of FS in the league.

I don't think the combine can hurt people as much as it can help people. It's used to judge the tangibles and validate film. I think Andrews will be fine, his film will speak for itself regardless of whatever numbers he's put up at the combine.

I think guys like McKinnon that were for the most part completely off the radar can only help themselves. The skills portion is crucial for those guys. While McKinnon may be the better "Athlete," Andrews has much more experience at RB and is probably a much more experienced blocker and route runner.

I think a huge part of the combine that gets over looked is the personal interviews. I guy might not have all the best times but if he says the right things that can go along way with a coach whether it's being drafted or signed as a FA. A lot of coaches in the nfl want their kind of guys.

Calm down please. LOL

To be honest, it would be hard to argue otherwise. He's just a freak.

Who at the NFL combine isn't? It's the NFL Combine.

Well yea, but he's a top performer in every skill category he performed. Not everyone at the Combine does that, or there'd be no reason to track that. I won't say he's THE best athlete there, but he has done enough to argue that he's ONE of the best.

Yea true, but Andrews ran about 13 seconds slower than Morris did....Punters, DL, and OL were running faster than Andrews, haha...I know its not the only thing, but a few items I read from writers were killing Andrews about his slow 40 time...I am sure he did fine in interviews and also his verstaility, ability to block, vision and being able to catch the ball will certainly hlelp him....Did also get some pub also for being Bobby Raineys backup at WKU...RIch Eisen noted Rainey saved the Bucs bacon this season...

Strength and speed combo, I cannot remember anyone like McKinnon. Who was the last guy to run a 4.3 something and put up 32 reps? Has it ever been done?
