Everyone has either 5 games left or 4 (Louisiana and UALR) at this point. Ga. State looks almost a lock for the #1 seed at this point, and South Alabama's chance don't look good.

Big game of the night is definitely GSU v. ULL

UTA beats UALR
ASU survives Texas State

Georgia State was up big on the Cajuns late

GaSt wins with a three at the buzzer 80-77. Foul trouble killed the Cajuns again. Shawn Long was a monster but picked up his 4th foul at the 17 minute mark in the 2nd half, he still ended up with 22 points and 8 boards.

UALR's Will Neighbor goes down on a put back dunk with what looked to be a shoulder that popped out. Honestly can't see the kid comeing back at this point for the year.

This is the most snake bit team ever.

Dunked the ball in a ton of traffic at an odd angle and looked to have hurt a shoulder or arm.

He is a pretty tough kid but you could tell he was hurt bad. How bad? I don't know but it looked bad.

I feel sorry for him. He was hurt with an ankle injury and looked limited tonight.

Great kid and feel really sorry for him.

Yeah he is a stud. He played his butt off. Not looking forward to facing him for the next two yrs. But, GSU came out guns blazing to start the second half. ULL made another run at the end of the game. But, gsu made a big shot at a big time. Great Sunbelt basketball game

South remains alive in the hunt for New Orleans with the win, however they need a lot of help. Troy still owns the tiebreaker by virtue of beating Georgia State, so the Jags need Troy to lose to Texas State, and either UALR or UTA at home, while they would need to beat Texas State at home and win at ULM.

Troy and Texas State pretty much control their own destiny for the 8 spot. Troy's schedule is far more favorable with UALR and @ ULM on the schedule this week instead of Texas State's home games against WKU and GSU, but since Texas State won the first meeting of the schools, the Trojans must beat the Bobcats in order to claim that tiebreaker.

Georgia State clinches the league title and at worst a bid to the NIT with a win in Arlington Thursday. Panthers begin a 3 game in 5 day trip Thursday to UTA, Texas State, and ASU. If there really is a question about how their depth will handle a string of games in a row come postseason time, we'll find out a lot by the time they finish the trip.

WKU holds a one game lead on ASU and the Cajuns for the 2 seed. Toppers really need to get two wins out of trips to Texas State and UTA this week because they cannot afford to take a loss with a home game with the Cajuns and road trip to Georgia State scheduled to close the season.

ASU survives the first two of its 5 home game in 6 game stretch to close the season, and has an OOC tuneup with NAIA Lyon Tuesday before heading to Little Rock for the final trip of the season. If the Red Wolves win in Little Rock, they will head into their 3 game in 5 day stretch to end the season knowing they control their own destiny for the three, and could easily sneak into the two seed by simply winning out.

Cajuns still control their own destiny for both the two and the three, but must avoid messing around with an Improving USA team on Thursday before they embark on their closing road trip to Bowling Green and Jonesboro.

At this point, barring an upset in Arlington next weekend, you can pretty much lock up who will finish in the top 4 and get at least one Tourney bye. Its likely who gets the double bye and the two seed, and who gets the 3, and who gets the dreaded 4 seed may come down to the final Saturday of the season when The Cajuns play in Jonesboro and WKU plays in Atlanta.

Classy left the building with you HC popping off for 15 minutes of a presser after the game in Lafayette. Was that classy? Was that gracious? Own.It.

Was R.J. not gracious? When? Your coach was the one unprofessionally popping off about losing due to refs and one player getting all the calls and his father being on the court. Who does or says that even if you're thinking it? Nobody does.
