Staff appears to be going after TEs early. 2 TE commitments early on and another just visited campus.

Maybe looking for quicker leaner OT's to develop after hitting the weight room?

This OC wants to run a 2 tight end offense and power running game.

CMU offered a 6'7, 223 pound TE from Clarkston. Sounds like an interesting prospect.

Allen Trieu is reporting a commitment from DB Jamal Brown (will be like 3 guys named Brown in our secondary) out of Chicago Phillips HS Academy.

6'1" 185 lbs.

He was receiving interest from a handful of MAC and B1G schools. He's a Core 6 athlete and took a visit to NIU.

Now, if we could get a couple 'Golds', we'd be on to something special!

Video on 6'1", 190lb DB Jamal Brown.

Background music is pretty good...very repetitive though.

I'm glad nobody's telling these kids we weren't worst before last year.

There was a story on Scout.com about newest commit Jamal Brown. If you have access and get a chance to read it, it is hard not to root for the kid.

Junior McMullen won the MVP at a NIKE camp this past weekend for LB. Getting called a steal already for the Broncos.

Leon Thornton a WMU target who seems to like WMU quite a bit, won for WR's.

Good motor but really needs to learn something other than a bull rush. Not going to get it done at our level. If he learns how to play with his hands and use leverage he could be really good. Hard to tell if the competition is any good.

I think WMU and Fleck are dreaming on him to become a DT, where his need for various pass rushing moves becomes a little less. If he can add 10-15lbs his senior year then another 20 in a red shirt season, he would be more suited for inside.

RE: Official Recruiting Thread - 2015
If his height is legit, he would be taller than most MAC DT's. I can't tell his speed from the film but he better move could be to a 2 point position. Can't teach 6'4.

RE: Official Recruiting Thread - 2015
I haven't seen any official announcements, but on that website that starts with an 'R' it shows a commitment from OG John Keenoy out of East Kentwood.

https://rivals.yahoo.com/westernmichigan...NMoB_3upB4

EDIT: Allen Trieu just confirmed on Twitter

Keenoy is 6'3" 285 lbs., has offers from Ball State, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Illinois State, and Toledo. Interest from B1G programs.

3-star according to several sites. Rivals has him as 10th ranked O-lineman in the state. Scout has him at 10th ranked center NATIONALLY.

I saw his dad played for the chimps. At least he knows he raised a smart kid. Dont make the same mistakes as your parents.
