I wonder if thats because of his shoulder injury or he knows he will be behind all the young guys

Probably a little of both. Next year we'll have DePalma, Spillane, Lewis, Jackson, Rolle, Sylva, Bailey plus walk-ons Cherocci and Cox that both saw playing time this year. We're also bringing in Eric Assoua, Paul Engram, Junior McMullen And several others that could play LB like Davison and Grace.

So, certainly a position of depth for the upcoming season and perhaps Brant was worried about getting buried with his nagging injury. I did like him when he was healthy though.

LBs look to be a position with a lot of depth this year, along with WR and QB.

This sucks. These last few years we've been losing most of our LB corps to injury. This one's a loss.

He is transferring to get more playing time. Even with all the injuries this season, he couldn't crack the line up after about week 5.

It could also be that Brant has graduated, would like to spend his last season eligible playing closer to home.

Too bad. Brant was talented. Some of the names mentioned here have never played a game in D1 college yet. I was counting on him to start.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

When healthy, he was the best LB out there. Could hit, had speed and knew how to play. Football doesn't lend to recovering from injury when your job is lower your shoulder and put a lick on someone.

Lewis, DePalma, and Spillane were going to start whether he came back or not.

I agree, he has talent, but he has barely seen the field in two years.

Idk I think Jackson and Sylva could easily be starting! Better size and speed than the current ones

I think this, or something similar. Recruits see offers and get wide eyed before reading fine print... I'm guessing everything the coaches said after "We'd like you to be a Bronco.." .. went un-heard.

OR... He got an offer to maybe play at some point for a P5 team that will likely bury him in the practice squad indefinitely. Kids are smart.

Like I said earlier we have way too many commits and "grey shirting" is an option as far as WMU is concerned to keep them. Now as far as the commit is concerned it can be considered "risky" especially if they have other offers that can bind them to a school (and visa versa) with a NLI.

WMU will be hosting 5 recruits this weekend:

Parker Underwood, TE (WMU commit)
Keishawn Watson, WR (WMU commit)
Taylor Reaume, LB (WMU commit, preferred walk-on)
Kendall Hune, DL - Carmel HS in Indiana - Uncommited
Shaq Jones , LB - UAB transfer that's checking out schools - last year had 50 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 INT, 3 PBU and a QB hurry.

Also, CMU commit DB Tyrone Miller out of Saline is visiting Wyoming this weekend and probably WMU next weekend.

Rumor is that Junior McMullen and WMU has parted ways.

Again we have 28 committed recruits, 27 now that Jr is potentially gone...and IMO think Fleck would be crazy to go after Midland Dan's CMU commits. None of them except of maybe 1 or 2 have we even offered (would have to look that up to be official) so if Fleck really wanted anyone of them don't you think he would have made a move on them already prior to the Enos exit. It is January for G-D sakes and we don't need to "fill" a quota, we had how many players committed way back in June?
