I see Liberty getting the invite this year. I then see two teams leaving the Belt. In 2015 JMU and Lamar are invited to get back to 12.

I will only say that the 12 team will come from the state of Virginia. Sun Belt schools will get less money from the College Football Playoff Payout if they expand to 14. Expanding to 14 does not make sense. The payout is $12 million for 12 schools and $12 million for 14 schools.

JMU will become the 12th member.

If they dont then Mizz St will.

You may be right. About (some) SBC fans.

I predict the Presidents/Chancellors of the SBC will finally realize JMU is yanking their chain and if invited will leave on the first opportunity. They decide to bypass JMU and get Liberty.

Exxon should help the Lamar athletic program. With a basketball team that has a 3-19 record and a football team that has not had a winning season since 1979, Lamar just isn't that attractive at this point in time.

Jmu wants no part of the sbc. I'd say they should at least force a vote on Liberty and force everyone to show their cards.

Any progress on the Big 12 getting a waiver to the 12 team requirement ?
