To set the stage for those non-soccer fans, AC Milan were the best team in the world in 2005, bar none. They were also a very, very good side defensively. Liverpool found themselves going into the halftime break down 3-0 in the Champions League Final, Europe's grandest stage. With that scoreline, against that defense, Liverpool would most assuredly lose 999 times out of a thousand.
