I listened live and it was a very good interview. Thought he did a great job of explaining why this was necessary and I am very glad that ECU is finally going all in on the skull and crossbones type logo and phasing out all the other ones.

We have slowly been moving in the right direction when it comes to logos and marketing collateral. ECU has made more right decisions than wrong decisions over the last 5+yrs. The PSOM midfield logo is a stroke of genius and the long over due move to the skull and cross bones is a great thing. For decades we failed to leverage our greatest marketing asset and that was our Pirate Mascot. I am glad to see a focus on this now.

Pretty good. Glad DG could get over his love of the ACC to talk about ECU a little 03-shhhh

In all honesty though, he is pretty fair when discussing the Pirates.

Anyone hearing any rumors regarding the big non conference games being negotiated for football in '15 and beyond? Supposedly teams we've never played. Sounds interesting.

Compher tossed out a nugget but nothing more. It kind of sounded like some contracts, and I would assume others already on the schedules in the future along with conference slate rotation, might have to get some ink before THAT game/series can be announced.

Troy D alluded that there will be some new names on the schedule and that we fans will find them interesting or something to that effect. I love playing our traditional "rivals" WVU, VT, USC, etc, but it would be good to see some new names on the schedule in addition to our new conference mates. I'd love to see something with UGA, wishful thinking I'm sure, or get some of our old series with Cuse, or the Canes and such going again.

Expect a USC on the schedule...one not located in South Carolina
