If our (league) football and basketball could become as respected as our baseball and softball we would have a dynamite league.

Never heard of them.
Me either, but they do look like they did a little homework. More than some sites anyway. FWIW, they predict that both the Cajuns and Jags host regionals.

Very little. But that's pretty much true for any of the preseason rankings. The three polls that have come out (this one, NFCA & USA Softball) have all ranked the Cajuns ahead of South Alabama and South Alabama ahead of Western Kentucky, despite the fact that Western won the regular season championship, finished runnerup to South Alabama in the conference tournament and returns their ace, Emily Rousseau, and virtually all of their starting lineup. South Alabama returns both of their pitchers and more of their offense than the Cajuns, but lost their Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year award winners, Brittany Fowler and Haley Fagan. These polls take very little into consideration as to what's returning than they do how you finished last year. What has me amazed is that CSM does not even consider Western among the top 44 teams in the country.
The conference prospectus should be coming out Monday or Tuesday. I'll be very interested in seeing what the coaches think will happen this year. Games start Thursday.
