RE: Field is getting painted.
I'm stoked!! I've missed playing you guys.

our coaching staff is kindof a joke and will probably get exposed next year.

I think 5-7 would be solid and would get us a new staff.

hoops is playing better in cusa 3.0.

With Memphis gone we might actually win the tourney.

^ This, Tulsa goes by TU but is actually UT, same for the University of Oklahoma, OU? Whats going on in the land of red people?

This is actually related to the sportswriters of the old Big 8 Conference.

All of these schools are "The University of ______", but the media decided to stick with OU for Oklahoma, NU for Nebraska, KU for Kansas, CU for Colorado, MU for Missouri, etc…. Tulsa, or TU, being in the same geographical area, was given the same treatment (since they were covered by the same sportswriters). Pretty sure this has been standard-ish since the 1930's or so.

That's interesting. Do you know why?

Indeed. Interesting factoid. Thanks!

Cincinnati fans who are fretting shouldn't be so shortsighted. Look at your basketball success this year and Memphis' dominance of CUSA for a decade as proof that there's a silver lining to be found.

Fact is that CUSA falling apart in 05 was the best thing to happen to Memphis basketball in a long time. Of course, Derrick Rose and 4 straight Elite 8's didn't hurt....

Every Tulsa home game is bound for CBSCS. There's no way ESPN will waste their time broadcasting a half filled 25k stadium every week. Sorry, I'm just telling it how it is.
