UCF Adminstration decided to keep an Average Coach that was given a Show-Cause Penalty... Bruce Pearl has a Show-Cause and hasn't been hired since..

Jones should have been let go when the old AD was, imho. And to top off the craziness, his contract was just extended last summer to the year 2018.

I think in large part is the lack of a basketball culture in our state. I think at both UCF and USF the emphasis is more on football and that the success and money will eventually trickle down to the basketball program. Still you look at the facilities, coaches and players at both schools and compare them to 5 years ago and there has been a BIG improvement. Just not enough to compete at the highet levels consistently yet.

The biggest point with Jones is that he was involved in the infractions and given a Show-Cause. It's not like he's been in Orlando for a decade and made several NCAA Appearances or something... The best season thus far earned an NIT Berth.
