It's not the job, its the conference. If UCONN or UC were getting an invite anytime soon, our ADs would not be sending resumes to P5 schools.

You are right about the conference. Our AD did not send his resume, at least he said he did not.

This makes the AAC, modern version the MAC. 07-coffee3

Texas fans probably think Louisville is in the MAC, otherwise, nah.
Look how many times Big 10 schools raid the MAC for coaches and ADs, plus Cincinnati while in the BCS Big East raided the MAC for coaches. After all it is the football food-chain. 07-coffee3

Virginia Tech AD Search

Looks like everyone but Babcock has publicly declined or have been told they are no longer a candidate.

President sent a tweet that he (Ono) "has UC's back, don't worry" when asked about Whit maybe leaving. Not sure how to take that. He's an awesome president with a commitment to athletics so I trust we will do what we can to either keep him or get someone really good to replace him. With that said, it sure isn't a denial that Whit is a possibility to leave.

Warde has his warts. But I tend to believe him. He's a guy means what he says and says what he means. He said he wouldn't look for Head Football coach until the season was over because he thought it was bad form and thats what he did. There might have been some interaction with a search firm with his lawyer/agent but who knows what was said?

And the ACC poaches from another former Big East member. Add it to the list of reasons I can't stand that conference.

We have been decimated over the past couple years. In the last four years we have been through two university presidents, two ADs and three football coaches. UC has been stripped out of a BCS conference, had two trophy games taken away from them (Louisville and Pitt) and the small catholic school across town that gets pre-empted by UC basketball locally now has a larger television contract (with no football team).

That being said our basketball team is national ranked and in first place, the football team should be good again next year and we have a new facility enhancement project under way.

Never a dull moment being a UC alum/fan.

With UC's athletic success, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a quality replacement. Maybe you can find a guy with some sort of roots/ties to Cincinnati/Ohio - someone who wants to really be there long-term.

Beyond the loss of an AD, it tells me that UC has better get used to the letters AAC... In the words of "Crowded House," don't dream, it's over...

I thought the window had slammed shut, but...

AD was only here for two years, so, see ya. We can get another AD. It is TT and Mick that matter right now.

Memphis fans can relate, lol.
