I just don't know what to make of our game. Troy had close losses to Georgia State and WKU, beat staAte and UALR, then get swept by ULM and UL-L. I would say playing at home would be an advantage, but it hasn't been so since CPC opened. We won 19 games last year, but were only 7-8 at home, 1-2 in SBC home games this year.

SBC standings as of 1/19

5-0 Ga. State
4-2 UALR
3-2 Louisiana
3-2 WKU
3-2 ULM
3-3 Ark. St.
2-3 Texas-Arlington
2-4 Troy
1-4 Texas St.
1-5 South Alabama

In the SoCon Ga. Southern is 2-2 and Appalachian is 1-4

Only the top 8 make the SBC in bball, right? So if it ended today Texas St. and USA would not go to tourney, right?

Could be the first time in the 38 year history of the SBC Basketball Tournament that USA doesn't participate.

I think this season, everyone gets in the SBC tourney, but the top 2 get double byes. I might be wrong, but that's what I remember hearing/reading somewhere.

Huh...looks like its a combination of both...top 8 in the tourney...top 2 seeds get double byes. http://www.sunbeltsports.org/CHAMPIONSHI...tball.aspx

Collosal task for the Cajuns this week. Really need both to stay in the hunt for the title.

Also, I really surprised/pleased that ULM is putting together a respectable team. As much as I dislike them, it didn't do any good to have them be a cellar dwellar. Wish they could have figured it out earlier on though and gotten some more non-conference wins.

Is there any way for both WKU and ULM to lose this game?

Biggest game of Thursday night has to be Ga. State at Louisiana with WKU at ULM a close second.
