Not to interupt.. Tx State VS UL
Not to interrupt all of the UL bashing with sports talk, but anyone that has not watched the UL vs Texas State game should take a look on ESPN3.
I live in California so unfortunately this was the 1st opportunity I have had to watch this team. I was very impressed with Long and Payton and for that matter the whole team. I wish I could see these guys in person.
Wow, I hope this team has a shot at post season. They may surprise some people if they play like did last night.

The Cajuns have a decent basketball team this year and it appears are well-coached. I try not to talk them up too much because when I do, they haul off and lose.
There's a lot of ball left to be played but I like how the schedule is laid out. Plenty of home games in the coming days against the better Belt teams which should help them gel even better before the late-season road games and run-up to the conference tournament.

Team played excellent last night. I liked the personnel they had in to start the game. JJ made a few shots early, with Long getting the double team. I like this group.

NOT trying to take away from your win on Monday, but when watching this game remember: Texas State has had for the past decade plus a REALLY bad team.
Now, we got a new coach this offseason which will hopefully help, but he was hired late and didn't get to recruit much for the school. So, the future has some optimism for us, but we just are nowhere near there yet.
Again, I say this not to take away from the win. I only offer it as a caution to not base your rest of season expectations off the game against Texas State.

Please stop playing down your thrashing of the Monrovians.

I think bob marlin's career record against your coach is 23-6. I dont think they care for each other too much.

I am not trying gloat about the win, just stating that the team executed very well and has some real talent regardless of the competition. It looked like a more discipline version of some of Jesse Evans teams.
