For basketball.

I would just expect a bump in local interest because it is UAb. Not necessarily because UAb travels well, they don't even travel to Legion Field.

You did. First time ever... Probably 2-3k there.

Usually it's maybe 500.

You might have 50 UAB fans show up. They don't typically travel well.

There will be more than 50 UAB fans. I have a bunch of family friends who were born and raised in Mobile who are UAB alumni. This gives them another reason to come home and see their folks.

Ok ok... 60

Seriously. They don't travel well.... They won't have half as many fans as Troy brings to y'all.

That is true. I know a ton of Troy people from Mobile plus I am surpised at the number of folks here in Florida that fly their colors.

Ya. Troys got a TON of alumni on the emerald coast. It's inly 1.5 hour away so it makes sense

As many times as you've lost to them I could ask you how to cope with the loss.

Exactly... You have poked fun at us for losing to them before. I would hate to have to do the same to you....

Uab is one of those programs that will come up and smack a program when you arnt looking. They did it to a ranked southern miss. And they have done it to a
Very good Troy team before. But we have kept them in their place the last 3 years.

You're full of it. I never talk to you when Troy loses to anyone, UAB included. You are the one that messages me but I still don't keep the conversation going about it because it's in poor taste.

I do believe your original post is more accurate than USAjag's edit.

UAB did bring an impressive crowd to Troy last season. The band was good as well.

Are the series between UAB and GSU and USA an indication that UAB and Troy are not going to play after this season? I hope not.

This. Is why I'm against playing. Lol. Great for USA, time will tell for UAB.

I wouldn't say beating us on the last play of a game is keeping us in our place. Two of the last there could have EASILY gone the other way.

Now what we do to you in basketball is what is putting someone in its place. That series in basketball will be ending after next season. Back to being a guarantee game.

As for the series I think it's a great move. We have a long tradition with USA and I respect their program. Easy road trip for both fan bases.
