If UTA doesn't get the win at home, I will have to admit I totally overestimated what this team is.

Interesting, this is the first ever meeting between ASU and Texas State in basketball. I would have thought we would have played at least some time ago. I mean, we were conference members with UTA for a few years, and played them some OOC. But we never once played Texas State.

DId not look like 200 there, man all of these other schools are trying hard to beat FIU's bleak attendence, they are really rising to the top to replace FIU's joke of attend.

Back to game, glad Okaro showed up, really gave us a lift! We have been cold as ice shooting since first half in Ole Miss game, but a win is a win....And in fact first time WKU's basketball history we have swept this road trip...

OK WKU fans, enough about the attendance. We get it, you look down on the rest of the conference because we aren't drawing 2,000 during the holiday breaks. Good lord, I could type up your posts because I know what they are before I read them.

didn't think so. i've had to listen to football attendance since we went fbs so if i want to add my 2 cents on a joke game then i will.

it really was fiu level bad and that is saying something. troy has what is probably the nicest small arena in the conference. they even camoflaged their seats in different colors to hide the fact nobody comes. and even that didn't work today.

i'm not joking about the camo. when they built the gym someone asked why the seats were different colors and that was the reason given by the troy folks. said it's being done in lots of new arenas so you can't notice huge sections of the same color with nobody in them. i'd never heard of such sorcery and was amazed you would spend millions on a beautiful new arena and camoflage it for the folks that don't show up.

I know you're a newby around here as this is your first year here but in the past nearly all fans of SBC teams, Troy and USA included, ragged mercilessly on FIU on their home basketball attendance. Although Troy has never had tremendous attendance, this year's games at Troy and USA were incredibly low, even for "winter break" games. We all have smaller attendance when students are out of session but these two games appear to have set records. It's all in good fun though. Even WKU had less than 4,000 during some of our games while students were out for the holidays.

Georgia Soutern 80 Samford 78. Ga.Southern now 8-8 overall, 1-0 in conference.We are still certainly no world beater but we are getting better. I may have to elevate my hopes for Ga. Southern in the Sun Belt next year in basketball to possibly the middle of the pack.

USA women off to a fast start in conference play. After an OOC schedule that left us 2-8, we start conference play 2-0 with wins over conference favorite WKU and beat the GaSt girls today.

I was there. The attendance was around 1k.

Halftime 39-36 GaSt. We have actually played well in the second half of games, so we shall see.

i don't care what samford's record is. they dribble drive well and their zone gave us fits. looks like your new coach has you coming around.

Thanks. I see WKU is off to a 2-0 Belt start. I will be surprised if WKU is not right at the top when it ends in March.
