Interesting thoughts on NYC zoning
http://nypost.com/2013/12/24/living-with...side-once/

Starts off about the NYC Tenemant Museum, but it progresses to discuss contemporary zoning. From the article I realized the microapartments are another tool for gov't to divide up familes and keep people isolated.

Again, the progressives set to destroy the institution of the family.

Why? Probably a variety of reasons, but most certainly, who could push back against gov't intrusion when you know no-one else, let alone have an organized revolt?

"Indeed, more of us are living alone, never marrying, getting divorced and having fewer children or no children. All of this could result in greater tranquility. But we may be missing out on something more important."

It's a succinct way to say what I have tried to explain to young 20 somethings..... You'll never be able to be as involved a parent as you can be right now. You kid's prefer parental involvement to the tranquility of "financial security".

Of course I oppose any and all zoning. People will eventually work this stuff out on their own without the use of force. It has managed to work for Houston...one of the largest cities in America.

Yes...While the decision to raise a family or not is one's own decision, it does bring into play long term consequences.
