Lets get this started a little early.

Tonight's game will start at 8pm CT and be televised on ESPN. Tulane is the designated "home team" from what I understand. The game will be officiated by a Big 10 Crew.

New Orleans Bowl Facts: The Bowl was created in 2001 by both the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and the Sun Belt Conference. The game housed the SBC Champion until 2011, when the Go Daddy Bowl signed on. New Orleans has first choice of available SBC Teams.

The matchup has featured SBC vs CUSA ever since 2002, with a couple notable exceptions when the MAC and MWC respectively filled in when CUSA could not fulfill their obligation to play in the game.

A Sun Belt team has won the bowl the last 4 seasons. Southern Miss is the last CUSA Champion. The last CUSA team to win the game outside of Southern Miss, was Memphis in 2003. USM and UNT have the most appearances in the game with 4 each.

I really enjoy the relationship that the SBC has with that bowl. Would like to either tie that into and SBC #1 vs any other conference #1 or tie it into one of the BCS conferences. If we tied it to any BCS conference it doesn't need to be tied to SBC #1.

We'll never be paired against a BCS conference in a bowl through a tie in. They wont allow that to happen.

Kickoff pushed back till 8:10 because Buffalo/SDSU is running a little over. And SDSU is throwing deep up 25 and 20 seconds left

I don't think I've seen any green outside of the green wave football team.
