I liked JD more a few weeks ago than I do today. He can claim all day long that he doesn't want to offend anyone by calling us UL...that's reasonable and believable. But when given the perfectly acceptable option of offending NO ONE by simply calling us "the Cajuns" he goes out of his way to use ULL, knowing full well most Cajun fans find it offensive.

Apparently offending someone is not okay unless they're Cajun fans.

I will agree he appears to be scholar. I'll leave it at that.

I don't hate "UL", have nothing against those letters. But your sports marketing team does not market your team as "UL", they market you as "Louisiana". Your school is the "University of Louisiana at Lafayette". So for easy typing, many of us use "ULL". Or we can just call you "L"....

But no where does your school market your sports teams as "UL" so why should I???

What difference does it make to you what Louisiana wants to call themselves. ULM sort of has dog in that hunt but no one else.

They can call themselves whatever they want. I will call them "ULL" when posting. I may call them Lafayette to their faces.

Well, I thinK I will call your school SAU. Who cares what you ask to be called or how you want to brand yourself. South Alabama University or SAU from now on when responding to any of your posts. Sort of like OU for the University of Oklahoma. Pretty sad that a conference mate won't call a school what it wants that would only help to elevate the perception of the conference. Don't know why you have a hard on for UL and purposely create a name issue on your posts, but two can play your game. I suspect other UL posters will follow suit until you come on board with UL and Louisiana. Wonder why the perception of the SBC is so bad? Jokers like you who won't help to change it.
