These are D-I games, btw.
Well the conference did better than projected last night going 3-3 (vs D-I opponents).

Anyway, UALR goes down again, as the fire Steve now campaign picks up steam....
Florida, Memphis, OU, MTSU and Southern Mississippi vs. Kentucky, OU, Texas and Boise is a wash.
ULM just hasn't had a large enough schedule. It is tough to say their schedule is so tough when it is full of guarantee games. Yeah it will get a high SOS, but in the end, what does it mean?

I don't follow the site. Do they publish their predictions of the games?

You can't have it both ways....talking about your Top 50 RPI opponents and then discounting ULM's. Not an argument as to who has the better team or played the best quality, or the most...UTA has played a tough schedule and has played well against some of those very good opponents, However, you can't use that to support you argument and then discount it for someone else.

They do http://www.rpiforecast.com. The site predicts RPI based on the Sagarin predictor.

It's not just the top 50. After that you guys haven't played much of anyone else, because of your APR issues. UTA played on the road against Robert Morris and Eastern Michigan and hosted Cleveland State and CSU-Baskersfield while you were idle. Your SOS is diluted because we all played the same amount of guarantee games, but you haven't played as much of the rest. Of course you SOS will be higher. UALR has a claim because they played guarantee games and a host of other games.

You were the one that talked about ULM's guarantee games yet you don't mention yours...wait, you used them to bolster your talk about your tough schedule. UTA also has played two sub Div 1 teams, and teams with RPIs of 214, 261, 290 and 330. I understand what you are saying but again, you can't count teams as part of a tough schedule on one hand and dismiss it the other.

I am not dismissing yours and including ours. Your sample size is too small to say your schedule is so hard. Every SBC team has guarantee games and almost every SBC team played sub-DI games to fill gaps. Every other team in the conference has played a few non-P5 games and that's where the schedule's difficultly comes in. UTA played no SWAC and only one SLC and SoCon team. Boise State, Eastern Michigan and to a lesser extent Cleveland State are quality teams. ULM just didn't get a chance for that.
In the end, it is just my opinion. Argue with why I didn't include them or why I should have, but it isn't intended as a knock.
