There is no early signing period for HS players in FBS football. That December date is for JUCO players only.

If a player graduates early from HS he can most certainly enroll in January. But yes its usually JUCOs.

He can enroll, but he cannot sign a NLI until February.

RE: 2014 Recruiting Rankings
There is a new NCAA legislation that gives high school seniors who are on schedule to graduate at mid-year and who plan to enroll in college for the spring semester an opportunity to sign an Institutional Financial Aid Agreement, not a National Letter of Intent. so the player can still change their mind(not likely they will), but the school can not, from my understanding.

RE: 2014 Recruiting Rankings
Troy's recruiting class is shaping up pretty well so far, at least from a talent perspective:

*** Jarvis Bentley (WR)
*** Connor Bravard (QB)
** Dontreal Pruitt (QB)

Both of the current QB commits come from the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the NJCAA. Not too bad if you ask me.

Hoping to get some big JUCO defensive commits soon.

We had a thread on it about six to eight weeks ago. Believe what you are saying is basically correct.

App State is really recruiting well. ASU has only lost one commit so far because of the coach search, so hopefully we're in decent shape. Dead Period in recruiting starts Monday.

Didn't F_U usually finish at the top of the SBC recruiting rankings? I see that worked out well for them.

It did take them to 2 bowl games and one shared SBC Championship. Notice that Cristobal is now at Alabama, and 2 top recruiters (Frank Ponce and Scott Satterfield) are now at App State. It looks like they had the 2nd ranked SBC class in 2012 and around 6th in 2013.

So is the improved recruiting the coaches or the conference move? I've seen it posted on here a number of times that BP can't recruit so it must be the conference move giving WKU a big boost in recruiting.

It's the conference. See Louisville and Rutgers.
