Fair point but not happening. Louisville just didn't have a tough schedule and don't have the media attention that Clemson, Oregon, Baylor have this season.

Not a big name program, not ranked highly, no marquee wins.

Have to be rated inside the Top 14 for an at-large bid. There is absolutely no way the Cards can jump 5 spots in one week with the computer numbers the way they are. Even if the miraculous happened and they did somehow make the Top 14, the Cards would not be selected over teams like Oregon, Alabama, Clemson, etc.

Whatever, I do not like Louisville and any of your fans except maybe the veterans :). However an 11-1 Louisville team with Teddy as the QB would give ANY team a run for their money. A much as I DO NOT LIKE YOU PUNKS! I have got to give respect where respect is due. You have potentially the best QB in College Football and a very good team.

Why not Louisville?? Cause they play a weak schedule, struggled within AAC play, and aren't even the best team in the American... there are 15-20 other AQ teams better than them in the rankings and probably even more who could beat them.

Yes, even though UL went 11-1, they failed to meet expectations. Most analysts thought they would have the season FSU had, running roughshod over a slate of bad opponents by 55-7 scores and the like, and it just didn't happen.

RE: Since NIU lost why not Lousville for an at large BCS
The schedule especially OOC just wasn't tough enough...if UCF had beaten South Carolina but lost to us and UofL had gotten the AQ Bid with an 12-0 record and UCF had went 11-1 with only a 4 point loss at Louisville the Knights would have a much stronger case for am at large BCS Bowl.

No, Louisville is playing in the Bowl it deserves to be in and really at 11-1 and playing in Orlando I am just fine with that....04-cheers

No team playing an AAC schedule will get a BCS at large bid, it won't happen, never ever.

Louisville just needed to switch out an ooc team for a top 15 team and win. Their SOS would have jumped. Unfortunately both of us got dragged down by a bad FIU team.

It sure beats a 4 team playoff. Can you imagine the debate if the same results of 2013 happen in 2014 how the 5th through 8th place team will scream bloody murder for being left out.

Without at least an 8 team playoff there is no way to determine how teams would fair against one another. Most teams play 1 maybe 2 teams OOC of any meaning. The other 1 to 3 games are cupcakes virtually on every schedule.

In addition, the games are typically played regionally. Florida hasn't play an OOC road game in decades. How would they fair playing in Oregon for example?

Finally, several conferences are going to go to 9 game conference schedules. That makes it even harder to determine how teams would do OOC. Like them or hate them you have to admit that Notre Dame has a real diverse schedule and other then BYU may be the only school in the nation that their schedule gives a good indication how they would do across thew nation.

We would take that in a Heartbeat! But it never will happen. Guys, has been great going up against a very solid AAC schedule. You Guys are Way underrated and with ECU coming in next season should have several ranked schools. Go UCF !02-13-banana

If they scheduled anyone with a pulse OOC, they might have had a case.
