RE: Bobby Rainey trending...
The only unit worse than our(Falcons) DL is our OL, somehow our worst player, Thomas Decoud(FS), is not on either.

We'll be able to draft Clowney or the #1 rated LT and address the other side of the line of scrimmage with the 2nd round/FA.

Congrats to Rainey on his big day, even with it taking two injuries ahead of him and our bad defense to make him look this good, it does seem strange that he's been cut by two different teams.

Bobby also had 2 TD's in last weeks win. I think the system fits his game

gawd almighty you 'western stalkers' have no limits.

do ya'll have some google alert setting for any time western or anyone related to western appears on the internets?

you stalkers make the freakin' nsa look like the three stooges holding glasses against a wall eavesdropping on the neighbors.

we get it. bobby is too slow and too small for any coach to tie their wagon to him. he's getting a shot on one of the worst teams in the nfl.

nobody (in their right mind) thinks he's headed to the pro bowl. just happy a guy who did a lot for us is getting a tiny shot.

can ya'lls 'queer for our gear' obsession just hold off til july 1st to resume the 'western stalking'.

i know you guys miss us but.....

ps.....i miss you too.

Rainey is clearly concussed, and thinks he is playing the 2011 Cajuns.

Honestly as a Cajun fan and a Saint fan I am having problems. I mean anytime the Dirty Birds suck I am happy, but Rainey really did my team wrong.

Ah what the heck, all is forgive pound the Dirty Birds.

Calm yourself beed, I was already on the board today responding to a different thread and saw this thread pop up.

I was being serious though, I'm really not sure how he was cut by two different teams, especially when the Browns clearly aren't loaded at running back.

It remains to be seen if he's a NFL starter long term, but clearly he can contribute to a team. If the Bucs were to decide that with a healthy Martin and James next year that Rainey won't be needed(would be a mistake IMO) I expect he'll have a much busier offseason than he had this past one. I'd (begrudgingly) welcome on the Falcons roster provided we get an OL that can run block.

@MTPiKapp

I thought the Dirty Birds were supposed to be good this year. Got a new running back, old as the hills, convinced Tony Gonzales he was not old as the hills. Oh I forgot the Dirty Birds still have Matty Ice who melts under pressure, and a clown of a coach.

Noticed you guys already packing it in like your team, counting the days til Roger says 'and with the first pick in the 2014 draft the Atlanta Falcons took too long, next up is Jacksonville'.

you calm down. i'm as calm as a valium. i just hadn't argued with a western stalker (aka middle fan) in a while as i don't spend any time on the coosa board.

i don't miss some of your retards like autoerotic kyle. is he still spewing his idiocy?

Outstanding game for Bobby! He finished with 30 carries for 163 yards and 2 Touchdowns. He also had 2 receptions for 4 yards and 1 Touchdown.

Rainey looked good today, but the Falcons D this year has made RB's look like Barry Sanders and QB's look like Joe Montana.

Rainy actually became the first player in Bucs history to score 2 rushing TD's and 1 receiving TD in the same game. Kind of strange Tampa Bay has never had a player do that before. But Bobby's name is in the Bucs record books for something.

Glad I was a homer today and started Rainey on most of my FF teams...Baltimore I can see why they let Rainey go, but Cleveland is well Cleveland...No surprise they waived him, they are idiots and never gave Rainey a chance...He appeared in two games and was mostly used at a KR...They let MCGhee coming off ACL get all the carries in which he did nothing with...

Your smack is cute, it really is. We're having a terrible season, we're a team built on offense and our 2nd most important player in our offense is out for the season. Matt Ryan has gone from having the best WR/TE trio in the league to having that trio more or less eliminated entirely due to Jones out for the season, Roddy being out or injured when he's in and Tony, due to the circumstances of Julio and Roddy, being doubled and even occasionally tripled anytime we get in plus territory. We're now finding out how bad our offensive line is and how much that's been masked by our elite playmakers on offense. Ryan is now throwing behind a below average OL to Harry Douglas, who is a borderline #2 WR, and a HOF TE who has two defenders draped over him at all times...beyond that, he's throwing to guys, most of whom wouldn't be on a NFL roster if not for our injury situation. When your line can't protect and your WRs cant get separation, what can you do? Nevermind that Matty "Always melts under pressure" ice, has more fourth quarter comebacks than anyone since he came into the league, we're going to be fine. We have lots of money coming off the books this year, dead money we're paying to Ray Edwards and Michael Turner as well as guys like Tony and Asante who probably won't be back and guys like Jackson and Decoud who might be gone as well for small cap hits. We're going to be able to make some FA signings and we're going to be picking where we can get Clowney or the top rated OT, in either scenario we instantly improve on a glaring weakness. 2013 is a lost season, oh well, that sucks but the Falcons and Saints(I can only assume you're a Saints fan) are both franchises who know a ton about lost seasons. We both have histories littered with embarrassment and generally terrible to mediocre with occasional anomalies, until our current regime. You got your ring, good for you, but we've gone from never having had consecutive winning seasons to having five in a row under Ryan/Smith/Demitroff. Talk your trash, call Smith a clown, heckle Matt Ryan, I couldn't care less, Ryan will be better for his struggles this year having to throw to scrubs and Smith has coached us to winning seasons 5 out of 6 years. This division never produces back to back champs, I know we'll be right back in the thick of it next year. We're not winning the Super Bowl this year, but then, neither are you. That's one more thing we have in common.

Early congrats on the beatdown on Thursday.

This topic is about a former WKU running back and what he did today not what team you are for or who is or isn't playing... I would expect a MOD to understand that and take off topic-smack to the proper forum instead of derailing this one.

Bobby would have had a 4th TD but his 40 catch for a TD was called back for OL Holding.

Rainey plays in the NFC South. He will be playing the Saints soon, and we play the Falcons this Thursday. It is all germane, calm down a little.

Just a little friendly shot at the Dirty Birds does not derail the topic. The Dirty Bird fan was lamenting how he got his yards, and I was simply reminding them how far they fell from expectations. All fine in my book.

How many ways & often can we say Rainey had a great day? Grow up a little.

Ah,ha you are not too dense. No doubt you only need to say Louisiana when you refer to us. I am pretty sure we will be talking Rainey again soon.
